Home Wedding
The weather was gorgeous and bright the day of Troy & Monica’s wedding, (even though the day before had a storm that took most of their tents with it!). They got married at their home surrounded by family & friends in a relaxing, fun atmosphere, (not the normal stressful day!). I was told they wanted the ceremony to move as quickly as they were allowed, but it was still beautiful & touching.
Here are a few images from during the ceremony that I loved, & of course I have to show them getting pelted with bird seed!!
4th Floor Blues Club
Here I am running a couple days behind again. Two weeks ago I was able to attend a wedding reception for Joe & Darah. (I’ve known Joey and his family since we were just little kids, and he’s a neighbor on our street, so I was more than happy to attend!) They were married in October out of state, but wanted a reception for their friends and family to attend before they left the country with the Air Force.
Before the meal & dances they wanted some fun shots with all the guests as they entered the 4th Floor Blues Club in Richmond. Some of them got creative, and some just looked confused, but they were all a fun bunch! So of course I have to share a couple of those images here!
I was talking with a friend a week ago discussing our favorite parts of weddings and receptions. As much fun as I have watching the “cutting of the cake” during the reception, the pictures that I keep coming back to as I proof a session are those of “the first dance”. I love the look on the bride & grooms faces during this moment when they are just with each other, and this reception was no different.
I know you guys were having a blast at your reception, and I hope that you both are enjoying your first time out of the country!!
In The Midst Of Snow
On February 6th, in the midst of all these snow storms, Billy & Hannah were married. The church was warm. The colors were beautiful. Besides the weather keeping some people away it was a perfect wedding. The bridesmaids & bride even got stuck in the road the morning of it, yet still managed to be ahead of schedule. And all this without too much extra stress for the day.
I’m still going through and proofing their wedding, (and ideally wanted to get their gallery up by tomorrow but the weather seems to be messing with my schedule as well). However, since I was enjoying going through these more today, I thought I’d give the bride & her family a little sneak peak and hope they will enjoy them too!
I really love the picture below of Billy waiting for Hannah to come down the aisle. His smile says it all! And in the background of them leaving the church, I love the look of happiness on Hannah’s mom’s face peaking out the door.

A Little Of This & That
So far this month I’ve mostly been working behind the scenes sending orders out, putting together packages, designing ads, and printing a few more samples for my studio. I have another session that I’ll post up later this week for two girls in Liberty that are going to be in a movie and needed head shots, but more on that later. Also my cousins, Hanna & Savanna, got their first real haircut, so I’ll post the result of that too, (this will be for you Gayle!).
Another behind-the-scenes thing that I did recently was actually more in front of the scenes, just not behind the camera. I set up my own facebook fan page for “Elisa Hubbard Studios” and I’m slowly adding some samples of my work to an album there. Anyway, now on to the point of this post! One of the orders came in today and I was thrilled to see it! For my wedding clients I offer a custom designed leather wedding album. I have a sample in my studio from my first wedding, but I hadn’t had the pleasure to create this kind of album for a client yet until this one. So sadly I have to give it away to the couple later today, but while it was in my hands I decided to take a few product images and show them here!
Now I’m hoping my next order gets in tomorrow with my studio samples & things for Rachel, (my senior in the previous post).
